Disclaimer
What Travel Risk Calculator is, what it isn't, and how to use it responsibly. Last updated June 2026.
Travel Risk Calculator provides estimated risk information for educational and planning purposes only. Scores are editorial estimates layered with live public-source data; they are not real-time measurements of safety and may be incomplete or out of date.
Not a substitute for official sources
The Service does not replace, and should never be used in place of:
- Official government travel advisories from your home country's foreign ministry or state department;
- Emergency alerts and local emergency services (police, ambulance, fire);
- Medical or public-health advice from a qualified professional or health authority;
- Insurance, immigration, legal, or professional security consultation;
- Embassy or consulate guidance.
Live data comes from third parties
Weather, air quality, advisories, disaster alerts, health notices, and news headlines are fetched from public third-party sources (Open-Meteo, the US State Department, GDACS, the CDC, and Google News) and shown with timestamps and source links. We do not control those sources and cannot guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or availability.
Use your own judgment
Always verify critical information with the relevant official sources before traveling or making any decision about your safety. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. If you spot something wrong on our pages, please tell us via the corrections page.
